Laura

Laura is a former teacher of 20 years turned business owner. She shook up her career and left her job in education to start her own business, a dream she’s always had. She began planning in April of 2024 and by August of 2024 had Shake it up Lemonade fully licensed and up and running in Michigan. In 2025 she expanded the business to Ohio and now serves in 2 states. She’s loves dogs, making people laugh, and spending time with her family at the lake. You can usually find her wearing THE cutest lemon earrings!

Andy

Design and Build

Andy is an electrical engineer who brought Laura’s trailer ideas to life with high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. He is quite the handy man and there is nothing he can’t do. He occasionally has to come to the rescue when we forget something or need an extra hand. Andy enjoys boating, working on projects and also coaches a high school robotics team. You’ll often find him checking out other food trucks and finding something delicious to eat while at events.

Ryan

Operations

Ryan is our all-around top worker. He was our main worker for the 2025 season, He did everything from running the register, to finances, and even backed up the trailer better than the owner herself. Ryan enjoys being on his high school robotics team, taking naps at any opportunity, and hanging out with his girlfriend. He is a critical part of keeping Shake It Up running smoothly! When things slow down you can usually find him taking a break on his phone!

Abby

Content Reviewer

While she doesn’t always volunteer to work, Abby is one of our fastest and most efficient crew members when she does. She has a sharp eye for what works on social media and appears in many of our videos, often deciding what makes the cut and what absolutely does not. She loves shopping, cheer, robotics and cats. She’s always down for a food truck trade!

Kari

Hype Crew

Kari is the owner’s best friend, hype girl, and voice of reason. She was the first to hear the many business ideas Laura planned and knew this idea was the one. She’s always willing to jump in when we’re in a bind and even ran through the woods to get to us at an event when there was no parking nearby. When you get Laura and Kari at an event you get an energetic show! Kari enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. If you see her at an event, ask her if she’s heard about a duck that went up to a lemonade stand!

Debbie

Volunteer Crew

Debbie is Laura’s mom and # 1 volunteer who’s always down to help at events. She caught on quickly to running the register and loves chatting with customers. You won’t find Debbie making a lemonade because she has never learned how! Debbie enjoys volunteering with her church, spending time with her grandkids and finding projects at home to work on. Start chatting with Debbie and before you know it you’ll be playing 20 questions.
